33. Robin Gurung (Football)


Robin Gurung, is an Indian football player from Guruthang village Geyzing West Sikkim. He represented India in a 2018 World Cup Qualifier against Guam.

In the year 2010, he made his I-League debut for ONGC. After 2013, he continued playing for Shillong Lajong. He even spent four years, from 2014 to 2017, playing for the local team Northeast United in the Indian Super League. Since the 2018 draft, he was associated with Jamshedpur FC. #RG16

Yapchung Kazi was a former Radio Artist starting a radio career at Kurseong Radio in Sikkimese Language. Popularly known as AIR Gangtok Abba for his stint at All India Radio, Gangtok, his radio career spanned from 1962 to the mid-90s. Kazi is also credited as the first badminton player to represent Sikkim in a national-level tournament. He was the man behind the Sikkim Chief Minister’s Challenger Cup (1985), the first badminton tournament in Sikkim. Presently he is the advisor of the Badminton Association of Sikkim.
