26. Nirmal Mangar (Press Media)


Nirmal Mangar is a Sikkim State Awardee in the field of journalism (Sikkim Sewa Samman 2007). Winner of Ram Patro Memorial Award (2007) and Lagansheel Patrakarita Purushkar (2018).

He had been associated with Sikkim Express, The Telegraph, Doordarshan and All India Radio. Presently, he is the Founder and Editor-in-chief of the Sikkim Chronicle, one of the popular online digital news platforms in Sikkim.

Nilesh Lamichaney was the first Captain of the Sikkim Cricket Team in their inaugural competition at the List A level in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He became the first player to score a century for Sikkim, when he made 123 against Arunachal Pradesh on 21 September 2018.
