25. Sunandita Bista (Badminton)


Sunandita Bista, a member of the Badminton Association of Jorethang is a doubles specialist in badminton. She represented Sikkim in North East Inter State Badminton Championship held at Aizwal, Mizoram (2017) winning a silver and a bronze.

She was the winner of the Sikkim State Badminton Championship (Women Doubles with Selina Rai, 2018), Governor’s Cup Badminton Tournament (Mixed Doubles with Jacob Khaling Rai, 2021), 1st Singtam Open Badminton Tournament ((Mixed Doubles with Uttam Jindal, 2022) and 2nd Governor’s Cup Badminton Tournament (Mixed Doubles with Uttam Jindal, 2022).

Nilesh Lamichaney was the first Captain of the Sikkim Cricket Team in their inaugural competition at the List A level in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He became the first player to score a century for Sikkim, when he made 123 against Arunachal Pradesh on 21 September 2018.
