14. Amar Subba (Marathon)


Amar Subba is synonymous with the word marathon in Sikkim. Age is just a number for him, aged 52 Amar Subba is an International runner had been participating in marathon competitions throughout the country and winning laurels for the state. He is the recipient of Sikkim Khel Samman (2015).

Last year, Amar Subba participated in a 24-hour marathon in Mumbai in which he bagged fourth place in the overall category and secured first in the veteran's category. He covered a total of 159.2 km in 24 hours.

Nilesh Lamichaney was the first Captain of the Sikkim Cricket Team in their inaugural competition at the List A level in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He became the first player to score a century for Sikkim, when he made 123 against Arunachal Pradesh on 21 September 2018.
